VPN software is used to connect you to the agency's network while you are working offsite. While the software is primarily used for making a remote connection, it is also a good idea to use the VPN while you are on unknown networks. The software creates an encrypted tunnel between your laptop and the agency, bypassing any spying or snooping software that may be running on foreign networks.
- You can find your VPN software icon on the desktop of your laptop
. Double click to launch the software. - If nothing happens when you double-click the icon, then it is probably already running down in your system tray (lower right

- If it is running in the system tray just double-click it from there to launch it.
- Once launched you will get a window showing the lcboh.com connection. Depending on how it's set up, it will enable the connection. If not, you will select the only connection in the list and then click on enable.
- Shortly after the connection is enabled you will be presented with a login screen. The login is your first initial + last name. All lower case, no spaces. The password is the same password used to log in to the system.
Note: you cannot test the VPN connection at work, it will only connect from offsite locations.
Note: If you get a message about the firewall blocking the connection, please check all 3 boxes and then allow the connection.
If you have further problems please submit a support ticket.
